My great Target trip today and how YOU can do it too!

I haven't been having very good luck at Target when it comes to the deal scene lately. It seems like everyone that does "deals" gets there before me and ruins all the fun.

Well not today.

I was AMAZED at what I was able to get for $4.05 out of pocket.

Here's what I got and how you can do it too!

-- Glade Scented Oil Cans are on sale for 3/$5 = $1.66 each.

• If you open the tin, there is a $1.50 coupon inside. Use that when you hit the checkout lane and spend only $.16 per tin! (I purchased 10 for a total of $1.60)

-- I found AirWick FreshMatic Ultra air fresheners on clearance for $6.46.

• I used my $6 off coupon from the newspaper and was able to score this for $.46! (The coupon said it was good for the iMotion brand, but the cashier scanned it and had no problems with it.)

-- The 5 oz. packages of Chef Michael's Dog Food were on clearance for $.50 each. That in itself is a great deal!

• I used the FREE 5 oz. package of Chef Michael's Dog Food coupon from the newspaper. (I was able to score 3 of these for FREE!)

-- AirWick Scented Oil iMotion air fresheners are on sale for $4.99.

• I used the $4 off coupon from the newspaper making the final cost = $.99

-- Market Pantry string cheese singles are regularly priced at $.40 each.

• Buy two and use the $1 off 2 Market Pantry cheeses Target coupon from here to snag these for FREE.

-- Pepperidge Farm Mini Chocolate Chunk cookies can be found in the $1 bins at the front of the store.

• Buy two and use the $1 off 2 Pepperidge Farm Cookies from here to make these = $.50 each

P.S. The Target Corporate Coupon Policy that I blogged about here really came in handy today. The cashier wouldn't adjust my $1/2 Market Pantry Cheeses coupon until I showed her the Target Coupon Policy that clearly states that you CAN.

Target Stores Corporate Coupon Policy

Target has finally posted their official stance on coupons online. You can view it here.

Target Stores Coupon Policy Coupons are a great way to save even more when shopping with us, and it's easy to use them at our stores. • Target accepts one manufacturer coupon and one Target coupon for the same item (unless prohibited) • Super Target coupons can be used in any Target store if the store carries the item • We gladly accept valid internet coupons Because of the variety of coupons available to our guests, we do have some guidelines for how coupons can be redeemed at Target. When accepting coupons, we use the following guidelines: • We accept two kinds of coupons: Target-issued coupons and manufacturer-issued. • We'll accept one Target coupon and one manufacturer coupon for the same item, unless either coupon prohibits it. • Coupon amount may be reduced if it exceeds the value of the item after other discounts or coupons are applied. • We can't give cash back if the face value of a coupon is greater than the purchase value of the item. • We can't accept coupons from other retailers, or coupons for products not carried in our stores. • All valid coupons should be presented to the cashier while you're checking out.

I would HIGHLY suggest printing this and keeping it in your coupon binder. I've had so many issues with Target cashiers -- I know this will come in handy very shortly.

I'm so excited about my Target trip today!

Here's what I did:

• This week, Fiber One cereals are on sale for $2.50 and when you buy 5, you get a $5 Target Gift Card.
  
• I used five $1 off General Mills Cereal Target Coupons from here.
• Then I used five $.75 off Fiber One Cereal from here (remember you can double Target coupons with manufacturer's coupons)

My total was $3.75 for 5 boxes of cereal AND I got a $5 Target Gift Card back! I actually made $1.25 on this whole deal!

You can try to make it even sweeter (I didn't have this available) -- Target is price matching competitor's prices and Walgreen's just happens to have Fiber One Cereal this week for $2. Take the Walgreen's sale flyer to the checkout at Target and pay only $1.25 for 5 boxes of cereal and get a $5 Target Gift Card. That's a huge money-maker!

Note: The $.75 off Fiber One Cereal from here will only let you print it off twice. You'll need access to more than one computer to print off all the coupons you need. But never fear, even if you can only print off the five $1 off General Mills Target Coupons that's still an incredible deal for cereal. It averages out to $1.50 per box if you can only print off the Target Coupons.
